Late Tryouts for 2022-2023 Season

Date: 7/27/22 (5-6:00pm)

Please arrive at least 15m prior to the tryout for on-site check-in. 

Please bring an inflated soccer ball, wear shinguards, and filled water bottle. Goalkeepers make sure to bring your GK gloves. 

We will be keeping all players moving and active throughout the tryout to maximize playing time and evaluation from our coaching staff. 

Our goal is to assess all players training habits, technical ability, coach-ability, speed of thought and decision making, tactical awareness, positional play, and more. This is why we highly recommend all players attend both tryout sessions. 

Our coaching staff will not provide direct feedback to a player after each tryout session but will offer overall feedback to the tryout group so that they can leave with valuable information to help them improve on their own.

Thank you for your interest in Charlottesville Alliance Sports Club's Travel Tryouts for the 2022-2023 Season.  All players are encouraged to come to ALL identification and tryout dates.  If you are only able to attend one, please let the staff know.

We invite all boys and girls from U8 to U19 to join us for our 2022-2023 Try-Outs. U8-U10 will be able to join our Academy teams and U11-U19 will tryout for our competitive Travel teams.  Register through the link below. Bring your player 20 minutes prior to the start time. Have plenty of water, a ball, shin guards, and cleats. Players will be issued a number at check-in or another identifier. Please keep it for all days of the identification or tryout process. If you are unable to attend any days of the identification or tryouts, please let the coach know.  Individual Players/Groups/WHOLE TEAMS are welcomed and encouraged to register together.  Please contact our Sporting Director for more information at:

PLAYER NOTIFICATION

• Players will be notified via email or phone call when a decision has been made about their roster status.  At times this notification may be while the tryout process is still ongoing.  All players should receive notification of their status within 72 hours after the final scheduled tryout session. 
• The Alliance reserves the right to add players to a travel roster at any time.
• Players requiring a decision regarding their status prior to receiving notification should contact the Sporting Director at sbell@charlottesvillealliancesc.org.
• If a player is offered a spot on the roster, the player is expected to confirm their acceptance of this roster spot within 48 hours.  To confirm your roster spot, players should:
• Call or email the coach or administrator to accept the roster spot.
• Register and make deposit with the Charlottesville Alliance Sports Club club online via PlayMetrics.
• If a player has not been contacted about their status by 5 days after the final scheduled tryout session, please contact the Charlottesville Alliance SC Admin who will direct your email to the appropriate Technical Staff.

Note:  the Technical Staff reserves the right to assess players at all tryouts and determine if they are eligible to play up a birth year.  However, all players must tryout in their specific birth year to start.
