Charlottesville, Virginia (April 5, 2022) -

The Charlottesville Alliance Sports Club (The Alliance), a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is pleased to announce the launch of its new website powered by SportsEngine NBC Sports Next and PlayMetrics.  SportsEngine brings a clean, organized navigation platform while PlayMetrics provides parents and families an easy-to-use registration and communication platform that can be used on a computer or mobile device.

“SportsEngine and PlayMetrics will make registering, paying for programs, and signing documents simple and efficient.  We wanted to make the registration process seamless so that parents and families can do what they really want to do, play sports.  As we build out our programming at The Alliance, we will continue to enhance the website and registration to meet the needs of our members,” said Matt Nauman, President, Charlottesville Alliance SC.

In more exciting news for The Alliance, the club has announced that its top soccer teams will pursue the USYS National League South Atlantic Conference managed by EDP along with their participation in the Club Champions League (CCL).  The USYS National League will provide meaningful, competitive regional and national pathways, appropriate level matches, competitions, and events.  Travel will be in the Mid-Atlantic region (Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and West Virginia).  Teams excelling in the USYS National League will advance to additional national showcases and events based on merit and success.

The CCL will offer The Alliance local and regional matches with less travel and cost.  CCL play will be in Virginia, primarily the Central, West Central, Southwest, and Southeast regions.  As a member of the CCL, The Alliance receives guaranteed entrance into high-profile events, College Showcases, College Combines, Festivals, and more.  The Alliance will participate in VYSA State Cup to qualify for the USYS Regional Championships.  Unique to the CCL, if a team were to be eliminated from State Cup competition, CCL members will have an additional opportunity to qualify for the Regional Championships through the CCL’s membership to the USYS League Championship pathway.

Shay Bell, Charlottesville Alliance SC Sporting Director had this to say, “When evaluating the youth soccer landscape, the USYS National League and Club Champions League offer the perfect balance of high-level competition, top events, travel, and regional and national pathways to National Championships.  The Alliance will pursue the USYS National League, USYS League Championship, USYS National Championship Series, VYSA State Cup (Virginia Youth Soccer Association), VYSA Presidents Cup, and appropriate level tournaments and events.  The future is bright with The Alliance and the community of Charlottesville.”

The mission of the CCL is to help clubs develop from within on and off the field of play.  A unique youth soccer league founded in 1997, the CCL offers top local and regional competition with national pathways on the field.  Off the field, clubs receive gold standard benefits from adidas North America, Soccer.com, Kwik Goal, United Soccer Coaches, SportsEngine NBC Sports Next, PlayMetrics, Next College Student Athlete (NCA), Trace, NextPro Video, BallerTV Live Stream, and Fundraise4U.net.

“We are honored to be a member club of the CCL.  They have an amazing reputation for helping, guiding, and advising clubs so that they can grow and succeed.  The CCL has seen the top clubs in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic reap the rewards of CCL membership and access to partnerships.  We look forward to working with them to help our members get great competition while keeping costs low,” commented Jason Fargo, Charlottesville Alliance SC Associate Sporting Director.

The Alliance will hold ID sessions at Alliance Soccer Park (formerly MonU Park, 1313 Polo Grounds Road, Charlottesville, VA, 22911) before tryouts as an opportunity for U8-U14 players and families to get to know the coaches and club:
